Ecologist / Senior Ecologist

ACD Environmental is a multi-disciplinary CIEEM Registered Practice, with offices in Malmesbury (Wiltshire), Godalming (Surrey), and Eastleigh (Hampshire).

We currently are recruiting ecologists (£25K-29K) and senior ecologists (£30K-40K) in our Malmesbury (Wiltshire) and Godalming (Surrey) offices.

Our team of Ecologists have a broad and diverse skillset, including specialisms in bats, badgers, otters, barn owl, dormice, reptiles, great crested newts, river restoration, and botany.

We are a progressive company, supporting our employees with training in mental health awareness, and management training. We organise company activity days throughout the year.

We offer comprehensive CPD/training, and we mentor our ecologists to help them gain protected species licences. We have a buddy system to support graduates.

Requirements
Candidates should have 2-4 years experience in ecological consultancy. Experience in the housing sector and Biodiversity Net Gain would be advantageous.

Arboriculturist / Senior Arboriculturist

ACD Environmental is a multidisciplinary practice of Landscape Architects, Ecologists and Arboriculturists with offices in Wiltshire, Hampshire, and Surrey. Our professional mid-sized practise is involved in projects throughout the UK and provides an efficient and proactive consultancy to our many clients, including housebuilders, developers, planners, architects, local planning authorities, and private clients.
This role will be based in our Godalming office in Surrey, where we currently have a headcount of 11 employees working within Ecology and Arboriculture.

Requirements
Candidates should be educated to a minimum Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture.
Minimum of two years’ experience undertaking tree condition surveys, risk assessment and decay detection assessments.
A good working knowledge of CAD packages and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to be able to work effectively with clients and other professionals.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage your workload.
Passionate about the outdoors and trees!

The Role
To undertake BS5837 Tree Surveys, produce Impact Assessments and Tree Protection Plans.
Arboricultural consultancy for ongoing projects.
Client liaison, supervision of works, and writing technical reports.
Teamwork is the core of our approach, you will be required to work with and support the wider Arboriculture team and company.
