Landscape Architect
Permanent, Full time

ACD Environmental is a multidisciplinary practice with offices in Wiltshire, Hampshire, Gloucestershire and Surrey and are involved in a variety of projects throughout the UK. The team of landscape architects provides an efficient and proactive design response to our many clients, with an integrated approach to design and creating places for people to enjoy.

The role
We are currently seeking Landscape Architects with strong technical skills to contribute to an evolving and exciting programme of work in Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties. Candidates should be CMLI and have a few years’ experience of managing projects and small teams. As a multidisciplinary practice of ecologists, arboriculturists, archaeologists and designers, ACD offers a unique opportunity to work on a range of projects within a wider team.

About you
You will be a Chartered Landscape Architect with a few years’ experience, excellent design and communication skills, an in depth working knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting packages. Passionate about Landscape Architecture, you will be keen to develop your personal and professional skills in a supportive environment and be able to oversee a number of projects and other team members.
Teamwork is at the core of our approach and you will have the opportunity to collaborate and support other members of the team in the design and delivery of a range of projects.
The ability to achieve tight deadlines and be able to work effectively with a wide range of clients and professionals. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing are considered very important.

Graduate Ecologist (6 month contract)
Eastleigh, Hampshire
March – September 2018

An exciting opportunity for a Graduate Ecologist to work for a dynamic, multi-disciplinary Environmental Consultancy, based in our Eastleigh Office.

We offer a fantastic working environment which will help to develop the skills required for a career in ecology.

The successful candidate would be trained by our motivated and skilled ecology team on a wide range of projects. They would be supported through a structured graduate programme, which would include carrying out habitat surveys, protected species surveys, organisation of the ecology team, data analysis and report writing.

Requirements are:
• 6-12 months experience working for a consultancy
• Driving licence
• Degree in a relevant ecology-related subject
• Have or working towards a protected species licence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work flexibly including some unsociable hours
