Assistant Landscape Architect
Eastleigh
Permanent, Full Time

ACD Environmental is a multidisciplinary practice with offices in Wiltshire, Hampshire and Surrey, and are involved in a variety of projects throughout the UK. The team of landscape architects provides an efficient and proactive design response to our many clients, with an integrated approach to design and creating places for people to enjoy.

The role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Landscape Architect in the Hampshire office with strong technical skills to contribute to an evolving and exciting programme of work in the south of England. As a multidisciplinary practice of ecologists, arboriculturists, archaeologists and designers, ACD offers a unique opportunity to work on a range of projects within a wider team.

About you
You will have a relevant qualification in Landscape Architecture, excellent design and communication skills, an in depth working knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting packages. Passionate about Landscape Architecture, you will be keen to develop your personal and professional skills in a supportive environment and be able to work on a number of projects alongside other team members.
Teamwork is at the core of our approach and you will have the opportunity to collaborate and support other members of the team in the design and delivery of a range of projects.
The ability to achieve tight deadlines and be able to work effectively with a wide range of clients and professionals. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing are considered very important.

Consultant/Senior Level Ecologist
Hampshire and Surrey
Permanent, Full Time

A fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary, forward-thinking environmental consultancy specialising in the Planning Industry. We work for a range of clients including house builders, developers, planners, architects, local planning authorities and private clients.

Positions are available in our Eastleigh and Godalming offices. The role would involve managing projects, carrying out protected species surveys, writing reports (including PEA and EcIA) and providing support to graduate ecologists.

The candidate should have:
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Good knowledge of the planning industry (particularly housing)
• Strong report writing skills (PEA, EcIA, etc)
• Be confident providing advice to clients and contractors
• Good knowledge of protected species ecology and legislation
• Hold at least 2 protected species licences
• Have experience writing EPS mitigation licences (ideally Named Ecologist or Accredited Agent)
• Currently be at Senior level or Consultant level, but looking for a role in which they will be supported in developing their career
• Have a natural aptitude for problem-solving and finding pragmatic solutions.
