Greg Nightingale joined ACD Environmental in 2014 and is involved in a wide range of protected species work and oversees multiple projects and ecological surveys. Greg is responsible for projects from their inception and works closely with our clients to meet their needs and ensure the best outcomes for wildlife. Greg holds Natural England class licences for great crested newt (Class 1) and bats (Class 2).

Prior to his role at ACD Environmental, Greg worked in three internship roles, two within ecological consultancies and a third as a marine awareness assistant with Devon Wildlife Trust, which included organising and delivering presentations and field trips. Greg has a first class degree in Marine Biology and Coastal Ecology from Plymouth University. Whilst at university, he assisted with academic research and secured the co-authorship of two published research. This well-rounded experience developed his understanding of a range of species, habitats and ecological processes. He has recently gained a certificate in CS38 Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue and is using this qualification to further his knowledge of bat tree roosts and tree growth, damage and decay.
