Rebecca joined ACD Environmental in April 2017 as a Graduate Ecologist. She has a degree in Conservation Biology from the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Rebecca has a background in conservation ecology through volunteer and professional work, having previously volunteered for Prickly Pals Hedgehog Hospital, The National Trust and The Conservation Volunteers. Rebecca is currently a volunteer for the New Forest Smooth Snake Survey project run by the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust.

Rebecca took a year placement during her university course and spent 10 months in the Peruvian Amazon working as a resident naturalist at a very remote eco-lodge. Rebecca was able to develop and learn new transferable skills in conservation and science that would later lead her into the world of ecology.

Rebecca is currently completing a Certificate in Ecological Consultancy with Acorn Ecology and has recently been granted her Natural England great crested newt class licence. She also holds a certificate in Hedgehog First Aid and Rehabilitation.
