Rebecca joined ACD Environmental in April 2017, she has a degree in Conservation Biology from the University of the West of England, Bristol.

Rebecca has a background in conservation ecology through volunteer and professional work, having previously volunteered for the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust, Prickly Pals Hedgehog Hospital, The National Trust and The Conservation Volunteers. Rebecca is currently a volunteer for the Somerset Mammal Group.

Rebecca took a year placement during her university course and spent 10 months in the Peruvian Amazon working as a resident naturalist at a very remote eco-lodge. Rebecca was able to develop and learn new transferable skills in conservation and science that would later lead her into the world of ecology.

Rebecca completed a Certificate in Ecological Consultancy with Acorn Ecology in 2017 and holds a Natural England great crested newt class licence. She also holds a certificate in Hedgehog First Aid and Rehabilitation.
