Lily Gilbert
Lily joined ACD Environmental in 2016. She is the principal ecologist with experience working across a diverse range of projects, including large scale housing and multi-use developments as well as private developments, heritage restoration and habitat enhancement projects. She is an accomplished field surveyor and holds protected species licenses for bats (level 2), dormouse, great crested newt and barn owl. Lily has a wealth of experience in preparing Ecological Impact Assessments, Habitats Regulations Assessment Screening Reports, Habitat Management Plans and EPS licence applications. She is adept at designing and implementing often complex mitigation for protected species and has experience working under the great crested newt district licences.
Lily is an accomplished project manager and a keen team player who is well versed in advising and liaising with clients, local authorities and statutory consultees. She has a particular interest in biodiversity net gain and enjoys working collaboratively to maximise the biodiversity value of a project.
Lily leads the team of ecologists at ACD Environmental and acts as a mentor to more junior members of the team. She is also the ACD lead on QGIS and mapping.
