Cotswold Way - Completed!

ACD Environmental are raising money for LandAid this year and over the August bank holiday weekend, our Director of Landscape Architecture – Jon Seymour and honorary ACD member – Matt Dally undertook the whole Cotswold Way, with a little help from other ACD colleagues along the journey!

After a successful 25 mile stint along the Cotswold Way last year, Jon and Matt decided to take the challenge further and complete all 102 miles between Bath and Chipping Campden (on the hottest recorded August bank holiday – unfortunate timing!). The team set off from Bath at 6:05am Friday 23rd and finished in Chipping Campden at 1:00pm on Monday 26th, taking an impressive three and a half days.

Jon and Matt had to endure hours in the scorching heat (hence the sombrero), up and down hill after hill with extremely punishing terrain which certainly took its toll on the feet, ankles, knees and hips, battling through nettles and brambles, past bulls, sheep and cows.

All money raised is going to LandAid, the property industry charity working to end youth homelessness in the UK. As a charitable trust, LandAid award grants to exceptional charities in the UK who are working to tackle youth homelessness. The grants are invested in capital projects which provide much-needed homes for young people.

Jon and Matt completed a very demanding challenge and would welcome any donation, little or large, to help us hit our fundraising target for a fantastic charity. You can donate through our Virgin Money Giving page here https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Team/ACDEnvironmental2019 – Please sign your donations with your name and/or company.

Earlier on in the year, ACD also competed in two other events – completing the Romsey Relay and Crudwell 24hr Bike Ride! Visit our website to read more about our events here https://acdenvironmental.co.uk/info/charity-and-events/

Thank you from all at ACD – especially Jon and Matt! Every donation counts and will help make a difference to the 80,000 young people who are currently homeless in the UK.
