Anouska studied BSc Ecology and Environmental Science at the University of Gloucestershire. During her time there she enjoyed researching the effects of disturbance on the European nightjar in the Forest of Dean. She has good ornithological skills and has a particular interest in farmland and woodland birds.

Anouska has experience in undertaking bat, dormouse, and bird surveys and has undertaken Phase 1 and UK Habitat Classification surveys. Anouska is currently working towards a Class 1 dormouse licence.

Over the years Anouska has volunteered for many organisations including the British Trust for Ornithology, Southam and District Owl Society, and the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. Anouska is also a member of the Gloucestershire Bat Group.
