Helen Selwyn was appointed as Design Director in 2019 having previously been promoted as Principal Landscape Architect in December 2015. Helen originally joined ACD in 2004 and being promoted to an Associate Director in 2006. Prior to working at ACD Helen worked in private practice and has experience working on regeneration projects, public open spaces, business park developments, environmental impact assessments, landscape masterplanning, detailed proposals, working drawings, specification and contract administration.

Helen Selwyn gained her Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture in 2005 from the University of Central England, Birmingham, having previously gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Landscape Studies in 2004. Helen was voted a Licentiate Member of The Landscape Institute in June 2005 and was awarded Chartered status in 2012.

Helen is an active member of the Landscape Institute and is a trained assessor and mentor to other landscape architects who are developing along their career. Her involvement includes mentoring our landscape architects and developing their professionalism.

Within the practice Helen works alongside the team of landscape architects and is responsible for growing this area of the practice. Working closely with both our existing and potential clients to ensure project briefs are achieved and that high quality designs and developments are accomplished.
