ACD Environmental undertook a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and prepared detailed landscape proposals, to support a planning application for pig finishing buildings and feed silos.

The site was part of an existing mixed farm, with areas in use for both cereal and livestock rearing. We prepared the assessment and design to support the application which informed the layout, siting of the buildings within the landscape and identifying mitigation measures. The colour of the proposed finishing buildings and silos were carefully considered to reduce their potential visual impact, along with specific shelterbelt planting to protect other landscape designations within the surrounding landscape.
