Head of Arboriculture, Senior Arboriculturist and Arboriculturist
Surrey Office
Permanent, Full time

ACD Environmental is a multidisciplinary practice with offices in Wiltshire, Hampshire, and Surrey and are involved in a variety of projects throughout the UK. The team of arboriculturists provides an efficient and proactive consultancy to our many clients, including housebuilders, developers, planners, architects, local planning authorities, and private clients. To meet our ever-increasing workload, we are looking to recruit a range of Arboricultural Consultants to complement our existing arboricultural team.

The Role
The role will be to undertake BS5837 tree surveys and produce impact assessments and tree protection plans along with client liaison, supervision of works, managing projects, writing technical reports, offering support to other members of staff, and contributing to the organisation of the arboricultural team.

About You
Candidates should be educated to a minimum Level 4 in Arboriculture and have at least two years working in a similar capacity with experience and expertise in undertaking tree condition surveys, risk assessment, decay detection assessment, and preparation of woodland management plans.

A good working knowledge of CAD packages and the Microsoft suite of programmes is considered important.
Passionate about arboriculture and planning, you will be keen to develop your personal and professional skills in a supportive environment and be able to oversee a number of projects and other team members.

Teamwork is at the core of our approach and you will have the opportunity to collaborate and support other members of the team in the design and delivery of a range of projects.

The ability to achieve tight deadlines and be able to work effectively with a wide range of clients and professionals. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing are considered important.

Office Manager
Surrey Office
Permanent, Part time (flexible)

ACD Environmental is a multidisciplinary practice with offices in Wiltshire, Hampshire, and Surrey and are involved in a variety of projects throughout the UK. The team in our Surrey office provides ecological and arboricultural consultancy services to our many clients. To assist our existing arboricultural team we are looking to recruit an office manager to complement our existing team.

The Role
The role will be to supervise the arboricultural team, help our team to meet deadlines by preparing project dossiers and liaising with clients to arrange access to sites and sourcing background information prior to site visits. You will need to assist with record keeping and work alongside our existing administration team (including human resources and accounting). You will also assist/ chair weekly workload meetings as well as organise the office and maintain supplies and equipment.

About You
Candidates should be able to use a range of software including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Planner 365 and SharePoint. You should be naturally organised and able to help organise other team members.

Ideally candidates will have worked in a design or consultancy before, but this is not essential.

Teamwork is at the core of our approach, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate and support other members of the team.

The ability to multitask and help the team achieve tight deadlines is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing are considered important.

Senior Landscape Architect / Landscape Architect
Hampshire and Wiltshire Office
Permanent, Full time

ACD Environmental is a multidisciplinary practice with offices in Wiltshire, Hampshire, and Surrey and are involved in a variety of projects throughout the UK. The team of landscape architects provides an efficient and proactive design response to our many clients, with an integrated approach to design and creating places for people to enjoy.

The Role
We are currently seeking Landscape Architects with strong technical skills to contribute to an evolving and exciting programme of work in the south east of England. Candidates should ideally be CMLI and have a few years’ experience of managing projects and small teams. As a multidisciplinary practice of ecologists, arboriculturists, archaeologists and designers, ACD offers a unique opportunity to work on a range of projects within a wider team.

About You
You will ideally be a Chartered Landscape Architect with a few years’ experience, excellent design and communication skills, an in depth working knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting packages (KeySCAPE is considered important).

Passionate about Landscape Architecture, you will be keen to develop your personal and professional skills in a supportive environment and be able to oversee a number of projects and other team members.
