Arboriculturist / Senior Arboriculturist
Godalming, Surrey, GU7 1HP
Permanent, Full time

ACD Environmental is a multidisciplinary practice of Landscape Architects, Ecologists and Arboriculturists with offices in Wiltshire, Hampshire, and Surrey. Our professional mid-sized practise is involved in projects throughout the UK and provides an efficient and proactive consultancy to our many clients, including housebuilders, developers, planners, architects, local planning authorities, and private clients.
This role will be based in our Godalming office in Surrey, where we currently have a headcount of 11 employees working within Ecology and Arboriculture.

Requirements
Candidates should be educated to a minimum Level 4 Diploma in Arboriculture.
Minimum of two years’ experience undertaking tree condition surveys, risk assessment and decay detection assessments.
A good working knowledge of CAD packages and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to be able to work effectively with clients and other professionals.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage your workload.
Passionate about the outdoors and trees!

The Role
To undertake BS5837 Tree Surveys, produce Impact Assessments and Tree Protection Plans.
Arboricultural consultancy for ongoing projects.
Client liaison, supervision of works, and writing technical reports.
Teamwork is the core of our approach, you will be required to work with and support the wider Arboriculture team and company.

Full salary for the first five days of illness (rather than statutory 3 days).

Senior Landscape Architect / Landscape Architect
Hampshire and Wiltshire Offices

ACD Environmental is a multidisciplinary practice with offices in Wiltshire, Hampshire, and Surrey and are involved in a variety of projects throughout the UK. The team of landscape architects provides an efficient and proactive design response to our many clients, with an integrated approach to design and creating places for people to enjoy.

The Role
We are currently seeking Landscape Architects with strong technical skills to contribute to an evolving and exciting programme of work in the south east of England. Candidates should ideally be CMLI and have a few years’ experience of managing projects and small teams. As a multidisciplinary practice of ecologists, arboriculturists, archaeologists and designers, ACD offers a unique opportunity to work on a range of projects within a wider team.

About You
You will ideally be a Chartered Landscape Architect with a few years’ experience, excellent design and communication skills, an in depth working knowledge of 2D and 3D drafting packages (KeySCAPE is considered important).

Passionate about Landscape Architecture, you will be keen to develop your personal and professional skills in a supportive environment and be able to oversee a number of projects and other team members.

Teamwork is at the core of our approach and you will have the opportunity to collaborate and support other members of the team in the design and delivery of a range of projects.

The ability to achieve tight deadlines and be able to work effectively with a wide range of clients and professionals. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing are considered very important.
