ACD worked on this project from the start and helped to secure planning consent for two semi-detached town houses on the empty, council owned site.
The two frontage London plane trees presented a significant constraint to producing a viable design. However, through careful excavation of trial pits to ascertain the spread and location of tree roots, and close liaison with the council’s tree officer we were able to provide a tree protection strategy that ensured the trees would not be impacted during construction and would continue to provide valuable amenity within the local street-scene.
