Benjamin Prego
Ben graduated from Durham University in 2022 with a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences, specialising in ecology, conservation and animal behaviour. During his studies, Ben spent a year working for a Conservation Charity where he honed his UK bird identification skills while carrying out a diverse range of breeding bird surveys.
Ben has been working in ecological consulting since September 2022, during which he has gained extensive experience carrying out Extended Phase 1 Surveys and a range of Phase 2 surveys, including reptiles, dormice, great crested newts, bats and breeding birds. Ben also has experience using the Statutory Biodiversity Metric and is trained in UK Habitat classification.
Ben is currently a Qualifying Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and is working towards obtaining licences for Dormice, Great Crested Newts and Bats (Class 1).
